The first half of this workshop will help you to think outside of the Google box by exploring the library’s academic databases. We’ll show you how to craft solid search strategies and evaluate your resources to produce the best results. The second half of the workshop will provide an overview of citations, citation tools, and basic formatting in MLA and APA style. Students will learn different methods of integrating sources in academic writing, including how to use signal phrases, how to paraphrase properly, and how to include in-text citations.
